Memory
Memory refers to any device which can be used to store data. It can also be used to refer to the capacity of data storage. In common language, memory typically refers to a particular type of storage called Random Access Memory (RAM).
Motherboard
It is a piece of insulating material such as plastic or fiberglass with copper attached to it. The copper has been etched away to form a highly complex circuit. The motherboard also comes with several different microchips built-in, that perform several different functions. This is the nervous system of the computer. Many other computer components plug into the motherboard. The motherboard routes all information where it needs to go.
Microchip
A small thin slice of semiconducting material with electronic parts and circuits built in. It is an essential part of modern computers.
